The article describes the Government’s regulatory activity between 2017 and 2019. As for the spending review procedures, the 2016 reforms were applied only in 2017, while in 2018 and 2019, further savings were achieved through specific provisions of the budget laws. The main innovations in the area of liberalization were completed in 2017, while no significant interventions were made in the following two years. Likewise, there was no progress in the decentralization of administrative functions over the period taken into consideration. Privatization policies were pursued through the divestment of public assets and state-owned enterprises. The rationalization of the regulations consisted in the adoption of a series of codes that covered various sectors. From the point of view of administrative simplification, the main changes concerned the regulation of public contracts.
