The 2022 Administrative Chronicles open with a brief overview of the year’s major events that have affected the public administration. In this context, particular attention is given to the impact of the change of government and especially to the crisis caused by the war between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. The Chronicles are then divided into two parts. The first analyses the major improvements concerning the public organization of offices, the status of public employees, finance, public goods, activities and procedures, administrative acts, contracts, administrative accountability, public controls, administrative justice and local bodies’ activities. The second highlights, instead, the most significant reforms affecting the exercise of the functions of order and of welfare, and the developments in the legal framework of labour and self-employment, culture and media, environmental protection, public services, private finance and market regulation.
