Edoardo Chiti

Edoardo Chiti (1969) is Professor of Administrative Law in the University of La Tuscia, Italy.

He graduated summa cum laude at the Faculty of Law of the University of Florence and specialized at the University College London (LL.M.) and at the European University Institute (Ph.D.). He has collaborated from 1995 to 2005 to the activities of the chair of Administrative Law of the Faculty of Law of the University of Rome, held by Professor Sabino Cassese. He was researcher in Administrative Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lecce (2000-2002). He was Associate Professor of Administrative Law at the same Faculty (2002-2006). Both as a researcher and as an Associate Professor, he has taught European Union Law and Administrative Law. He was Associate Professor of European Union Law at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of La Tuscia (November 2006-December 2011), where he holds the position of Full Professor of Administrative Law since January.

He is member of the European Group of Public Law and of the Istituto per le ricerche sulle pubbliche amministrazioni – Irpa. He is member of the Scientific Board of the Giornale di diritto amministrativo, member of the Advisory Board of the Revista de Derecho de la Unión Europea, and member of Advisory Board for the legal publications of the Italian publisher Il Mulino.

His main research interests are EU administrative law, global administrative law, comparative administrative law, and the administrative law of the market.
