Francesco Fonderico

Francesco Fonderico (1967) graduated with top marks in classical high school and in law (thesis in administrative law on ‘The location of waste disposal plants’, supervisor Prof. Sabino Cassese).
He collaborated with the administrative law chair of the Faculty of Law at La Sapienza University (Prof. Sabino Cassese). At the same university he also obtained a PhD in organisation and operation of the public administration (coordinator Prof. Marco D’Alberti).
He has collaborated with legal journals on administrative law and environmental law (Rivista trimestrale di diritto pubblico, Giornale di diritto amministrativo, Ambiente & Sviluppo, Rivista giuridica dell’ambiente) and is a member of the International Scientific and Refereeing Committee of the Rivista Quadrimestrale di Diritto dell’Ambiente (www.rqda.eu).
He has carried out research activities on behalf of ministries, universities and public and private institutes. He has been a speaker at numerous conferences, seminars and master’s courses on environmental law issues.
He has published about ninety contributions, mainly on environmental law, as well as on public health, administrative organisation and simplification, public economic law, public employment law, and tax justice.
From 1998 to 2009 he was an adjunct professor of environmental law at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Tuscia. Between 2010 and 2016 he held a post of scientific-didactic collaboration at the Chair of Environmental Law (Prof. Giampaolo Rossi) in the Faculty of Law of the University of Rome III, where he was an adjunct lecturer and coordinator of modules of the Level II Master’s Degree in Environmental Law.
Since the academic year 2017-2018, he has been a contract lecturer in environmental law at the Department of Law of the LUISS University of Rome.
He has been an administrative lawyer at the Rome Bar since 1995. Since 2007 he has been qualified to practise before the higher courts. He is a partner in the law firm Ambientalex and collaborates with other professionals, individuals and associates.
