Dario Bevilacqua is a Doctorate in Administrative Law, at the Faculty of Law, University of Rome “La Sapienza”, with a thesis entitled: “Food Safety regulation between Global and European administrative law. A comparative analysis”. In June 2011, he finished a post-doc research on “Extra-national legal orders and administrative law” at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.
He graduated in Law (2003) at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, with full marks. He has been studying and researching abroad: in Oslo (Norway) at the University of Oslo (1999 – 2000) in London (UK) at the London School of Economics and Political Science (2002); as a visiting researcher, at the “National School of law of India University”, Bangalore (India) funded by the European Public Law Center (July – September 2006) and in New York (USA) at the “New York University Center on Environmental and Land Use Law”, (March – May 2007).
He has been working in the academic field, since March 2003, as an assistant of Sabino Cassese, then of Marco D’Alberti, both Professors of Administrative Law by the Faculty of Law, University of Rome “La Sapienza”. During this activity he developed skills in researching and deepened the analysis of public regulation. In addition he is LL. M. graduate in International Law and Law of the International Organizations (September 2004 – August 2005) at the Rijkuniversiteit Groningen, The Netherlands. At present he is also author of a series of lectures on “Introduction to global food safety law and regulation” for the Master Programme in “Food Systems”, of the Universitat Oberta de la Catalunya – UOC. He is also a teacher at the Master in “Organizzazione e funzionamento della pubblica amministrazione”, University of Rome “La Sapienza” and at the international Master in “Global Regulation of Markets”, organized by the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in partnership with the Pontificia Lateranense University.
He has an excellent knowledge of English language and is able to speak and understand Spanish.
Finally he has recently published a book with the title “La sicurezza alimentare negli ordinamenti giuridici ultrastatali” (Food safety in ultra-national legal systems) along with several articles about food safety law, global and European regulation, administrative organization and constitutional law.
