Valerio Bontempi (Rome, 1993) is a Tenure-Track Researcher (RTT) in Administrative Law at the Universitas Mercatorum. In 2023, he obtained the National Scientific Qualification (ASN) to serve as an Associate Professor in the competitive sector 12/D1 – Administrative Law. He holds a PhD (XXXIII training cycle) in Government and Institutions (IUS/10) from the University of Roma Tre, where he graduated cum laude with a Law degree in 2016. He was a Researcher (RTD-A) in Administrative Law at the University of Tuscia (2023-2025), a Research Fellow in Administrative Law at Luiss Guido Carli (2021-2023), and a Research Assistant at the IMT School for Advanced Studies in Lucca (2020-2021). He was Global Emile Noël Fellow at New York University School of Law (a.y. 2024-2025). He has been Visiting Research Fellow at King’s College London (2024), Dublin City University (2023) and the Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches öffentliches Recht und Völkerrecht in Heidelberg (2019).
