Pubblicato dalla Wipo il Report annuale World Intellectual Property Indicators 2017 (WIPI).
Come riporta l’organizzazione, “[t]his flagship publication presents the latest trends in global IP activity covering patents, utility models, trademarks, industrial designs, plant varieties and geographical indications. The report includes around 160 indicators covering data for 150 IP offices around the world.
In 2016, patent filings worldwide increased by 8.3 percent, trademark applications by 16.4 percent, industrial design applications by 10.4 percent and plant varieties filings by 8.3 percent. Continued strong growth in China has driven these increases.
China’s patent office received more patent applications than the combined total of offices of the U.S., Japan, the Republic of Korea and the European Patent Office”.
Di rilievo, dunque i risultati indicati che confermano alcune inversioni di tendenza e offrono una visione reale delle singole realtà economiche in base alla promozione della proprietà intellettuale.
