Aldo Sandulli was born in Rome, Italy, December 2nd 1966.

Law degree summa cum laude, March 1990 (Faculty of Law, University of Rome “La Sapienza”).

Ph.D. in Organization and functioning of public administrations (Faculty of Law, University of Rome “La Sapienza”).

Full Professor of Administrative Law, Faculty of Law, University of Napoli “Suor Orsola Benincasa” (since 2006). Full Professor of Administrative Law, Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Urbino (2003-06). Associate Professor of Administrative, Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Urbino (2001-03). Researcher in Administrative Law, Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Urbino (1996-2001).

Scholarship of the National Research Council (C.N.R.) (1990-1991).

Member of the Board of Regents of the University of Urbino (2002-03 and 2006).

Teacher in courses (Public Law, Administrative Law, Competition Law, Local Government Law, Regional Law, Administrative Trial Process Law) for students and for public employees in Italian universities and in public and private institutions.

Author or co-author of reports for public and private institutions, including the Italian Cabinet and the Ministry of Public Function and the Cabinet of the Regione Marche.

He has written extensively – both on Italian and foreign reviews – in different research fields (European administrative law, European integration legal tools, competition law, fundamental rights, administrative justice, administrative proceedings, social and health services, education) and he is the author of four books: “The Proportionality of Administrative Action” (“La proporzionalità dell’azione amministrativa”, Cedam, Padova, 1998); “Procedural Administrative Law” (“Il procedimento”, in Trattato di diritto amministrativo. Parte generale, vol. II, Giuffrè, Milano, 2000); “The Italian Educational System” (“Il sistema nazionale di istruzione”, Il Mulino, Bologna, 2003); “Building the State” (“Costruire lo Stato”, Giuffrè, Milano, 2009).
