Observatory on Impact Assessment (IA): Call for papers

Call for papers – December 2013

The Observatory on Impact Assessment (IA), invites both senior and junior scholars (including PhD students), as well as practitioners and experts to submit paper proposals dealing with the following themes:

  • Market regulatory processes and global financial crisis;
  • Regulation and behavioural economics;
  • Regulation and regulatory processes inside governments.

Persuaded that the issue of better regulation cannot be restricted to sectorial research, the aim of this call for papers is to boost research on the importance of regulatory processes and quality of regulation even in such fields as the abovementioned, and therefore to encourage a multidisciplinary panel discussion.
Abstracts should be at least 150 words long, but longer and more fully-developed abstracts up to 500 words are welcome and encouraged where possible. Abstracts should be sent (in .doc or .docx format) to info@osservatorioair.it by 31st January 2014. All proposals will undergo peer review and notifications of acceptance will be sent out by 20th February 2014. Successful applicants will be invited to present a first draft version of their paper during a Workshop that will be held in Rome in April 2014. The Observatory will cover travel and lodging expenses for up to four successful candidates (for a total amount of 500 € per person).

Full papers are expected to be delivered by 15th June 2014 for publication on the Observatory website, getting an ISSN (International Standard Serial Number) number for the “I papers dell’Osservatorio” series. They must be no longer than 8,000 words (footnotes included) and must be sent (in .doc or .docx format) to info@osservatorioair.it.
